Not every fighter gets to choose how their story e Not every fighter gets to choose how their story ends.

Tonight, Canadian karate legend Robbie Lavoie stepped into the ring one final time. Early in the fight, a perfectly placed shot to the solar plexus left him unable to continue, bringing an abrupt end to the contest.

But the result of the fight is not what people will remember.

What they'll remember is what happened afterward.

With the crowd watching, Robbie placed his gloves in the center of the ring—a powerful symbol that his fighting career had come to an end.

For decades, Robbie has been a fixture in Canadian combat sports. A champion, a pioneer, and a mentor, he inspired generations of martial artists through his skill, toughness, and unwavering dedication to the sport.

Every fighter eventually hears the final bell. Tonight, Robbie Lavoie heard his.

Thank you for the memories, the battles, and the legacy you've left behind. Canadian combat sports is better because you were a part of it.

Congratulations on an incredible career, Robbie. Enjoy your retirement.

🥊 Respect.
 🇨🇦 Legend.
👏 Thank you, Robbie Lavoie.
Tonight is going to be a special one. A huge than Tonight is going to be a special one.

A huge thank you to Canadian karate legend Robbie Lavoie for hooking me up with a pass to witness history at TKO 04 in Liverpool, England.

Robbie has spent years establishing himself as one of Canada's most accomplished karate competitors, and tonight he steps into the main event spotlight to challenge Denmark's Omar Salim for the inaugural Total Kombat Flyweight World Championship. It's a fascinating clash of styles, with Lavoie's elite karate pedigree taking on Salim's dangerous Muay Thai arsenal inside the unique Total Kombat oval.

TKO 04 features a stacked card with 12 fights, but all eyes will be on the main event as Robbie looks to add a world title to an already remarkable combat sports résumé.

I'm grateful for the opportunity to be there in person and can't wait to watch a Canadian athlete represent our country on the international stage.

Good luck tonight, Robbie. Canada is behind you. 🇨🇦🥋👊
