Canadian lightweight Lance Gibson Jr. is finally set to make his long-awaited UFC debut, stepping into the Octagon at UFC Vegas 112 this Saturday in Las Vegas against seasoned veteran King Green, a bout added late to the card that has fight fans buzzing.
Gibson Jr, the 30-year-old “Fearless” from Port Moody, B.C., arrives in the promotion with a strong 9-1 professional record highlighted by multiple early finishes and a productive stint in Bellator, and he’ll look to announce himself on the sport’s biggest stage against the experienced Green, who brings nearly thirty UFC fights to the matchup.
The son of former UFC competitor Lance Gibson Sr, Gibson Jr’s promotional debut not only continues his family’s legacy in the Octagon but marks a key moment in his career as he transitions from regional standout to UFC contender.
MM-EH Trivia – This will be the 3rd Father/Son combo in UFC history, and will take place almost exactly 25-years since Lance Sr competed at UFC 29 in December 2000.
