Montreal's Nick Falcao isn't your typical MMA prospect.

A lifelong soccer player with no combat sports background, Falcao first stepped into a gym during the COVID lockdowns. What started as a way to stay active quickly became an obsession.

Now, just five years later, he's competing for the Fight Quest Bantamweight Championship.

Speaking with Andy Cotterill on the MM-EH Show Episode 18, Falcao reflected on his unlikely journey from driving trucks 12 to 15 hours a day to pursuing mixed martial arts full-time.

"It's become somewhat of a calling for me."

Originally known as a grappler with a strong jiu-jitsu game, Falcao believes he's evolved into a much more complete fighter, one who can seamlessly blend striking and grappling together.

And while many fighters dream of a quick finish, Falcao embraces adversity.

"If I have some adversity to overcome and I can overcome that, then that's perfect for me."

Now he'll get the chance to prove himself once again when he faces Reda Dref for the Fight Quest 61 Bantamweight Championship.

Undefeated Canadian prospect Karim Henniene is making the most of his opportunity on the international stage.

Speaking with Andy Cotterill on the MM-EH Show Episode 18, Henniene opened up about his experience competing for PFL Africa, describing it as a completely different level from anything he's experienced before.

After compiling a perfect 6-0 professional record, Henniene has already made waves in the promotion, including a spectacular flying knee knockout that announced his arrival as a serious contender.

But what makes "The Kryptonian" dangerous isn't just his power.

"If you're a striker, I'll wrestle you. If you're a wrestler, I'll strike you."

Training full-time at Tiger Muay Thai in Thailand, Henniene considers himself a true mixed martial artist, capable of adapting to whatever challenge is placed in front of him.

Now representing Algeria in the PFL Africa tournament while carrying his Canadian and Algerian roots, Henniene believes he's exactly where he's supposed to be.

With another victory, one of Canada's most exciting undefeated prospects could take another huge step toward MMA stardom.

👇 How far can Karim Henniene go in the PFL?
