Rising Canadian Featherweight mixed martial artist Fred Dupras woke up on Monday excited to be competing as an alternate in the PFL season opener this Thursday in Orlando, but not as excited as he’d be in a few short hours when he was told that he’d be replacing Yves Landu, who experienced visa issues and would not be allowed to fight.
Dupras (8-1) will now be fighting Gabriel Braga (15-2) in the tournament proper, with each fighter who successfully makes it past 3 rounds will be awarded a cheque for a half-million dollars.
The full MM-EH interview with Fred is up now on the MM-EH YouTube channel (Links in Bio), where Fred talks about his training, his thoughts on Braga, and the legacy of teammate Olivier Aubin-Mercier, a two-time winner of the PFL Lightweight Tournament.
