Montreal fans of MMA were thrilled to discover that the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was returning to their city when MM-EH broke the news to the world last week.
As if that weren’t exciting enough, MM-EH can report that Quebec’s #1 MMA organization, Samourai MMA, will be holding their 14th event in Montreal on May 9th, the night before UFC 315.
Samourai President Daniel Lafond told MM-EH about Samourai 14:
“Watch for the biggest show of Samourai history on May 9th.”
Lafond also said that he has not confirmed a venue yet, but Samourai has held multiple events in Montreal in the past at different venues including La Tohu, and Casino Montreal.
Before Samourai 14 can take place, however, Samourai 13 will be happening on March 7th in Gatineau. It will be headlined by a Middleweight Championship fight between Julien Leblanc and UFC veteran Darian Weeks, a Flyweight Championship match between Tommy Morrison (Champion) and Gabe Sagman, and finally a Bantamweight Championship Title Fight between Alain Majorique and Maxime Soucy.
