If you’re reading this then you’re clearly a fan of Canadian mixed martial arts, so you already know that one of the things that makes the sport so special is the community that has been developed over the years.
Win or lose, your club or someone else’s, the people in Canadian MMA help each other out and are there for each other in their time of need.
This is one of those times.
Veteran mixed martial artist Matt MacGrath has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer.
Matt made his name by being a a very active fighter for over a decade, and his nickname of “The Belt Collector” was earned by capturing MMA titles in numerous Canadian MMA promotions.
In recent years Matt has moved into the teacher role, and runs Renzo Gracie BJJ & MMA in Charlottetown, as well as Tsuyoi Judo Club and Eastern Grind Wrestling Club.
Matt and his wife Melanie and their three children need our support, and I humbly request that you help as you can.
Here is the link for Matt’s GoFundMe
Respectfully,
Andy Cotterill
