The internet rumour mill was a whirlwind of activity late Tuesday when UFC President Dana White apparently let slip an as-yet unannounced bout between Canadian Gavin Tucker and American Pat Sabatini scheduled for June 10th at UFC 289 in Vancouver.

White was announcing that UFC 289 main event fighter Julianna Pena would no longer be on the card due to injury, and while doing so, showed a wall-mounted list of all of the 289 bouts, including Tucker/Sabatini.

Mm-eh contacted Tucker, who preferred not to give a quote. However, he did tell MM-eh that he is not scheduled to fight at UFC 289 against Sabatini or anyone else.

Tucker and Sabatini had been scheduled to face each other in the UFC at least twice before, so hopefully, we’ll still get to see that pairing someday.
