Mateo Vogel is widely regarded as one of the top Mixed Martial Artists in Canada, but when he lost his fight in UFC President Dana White’s Contender Series last fall, a loss that Vogel says was “outrageous,” he know that it would only be a matter of time for his redemption.
On Friday night, Vogel will try to take Unified MMA Featherweight Champion John Nguyen’s title from him in front of White, who will be in attendance to film his “Lookin’ for a Fighter” show the day before UFC 297 in Toronto.
In this video interview Mateo speaks with Andy Cotterill about his training life, his life outside of training, his uncanny resemblance to one of his coaches, and of course his fight against Nguyen.
