MM-EH has found out that Unified MMA 60, scheduled for December 13th at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, Alberta, has been cancelled.
Unified MMA CEO Sunny Sareen told us that the event was cancelled by the River Cree shortly after the tragic death of amateur mixed martial artist Trokon Dousuah at an unrelated event also held in Enoch, but at a different venue.
Sareen said that the River Cree made the decision out of respect for Dousuah, and that Unified will continue to hold events there in the future.
Unified 60 will now be taking place in Toronto on January 25th, and Sareen said it will be the first Unified card to be held on a Saturday, as opposed to their traditional Fridays.
Finally, Sareen said that Unified intends to hold 10 events in 2025, with the new Unified 60 in Toronto in January, Unified 61 in Calgary in February, and Unified 62 in Edmonton in March.
