All-female MMA promotion Invicta FC has revealed the full fight card for their next event, and Port Moody, BC’s Julia Budd (5-2 MMA, 3-0 Invicta) will be taking on Ediane Gomes (10-2 MMA, 2-0 Invicta) in a featherweight clash.

Invicta FC 6 will take place at the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Kansas City, Missouri, and its original June date has been moved to the right by a few weeks, and will now take place on July 13.

Known as “The Jewel,” Budd is trained by husband and two-time UFC competitor Lance Gibson at Gibson Kickboxing and Pankration, and she is on a 3-fight Invicta win streak since losing to current UFC champion Ronda Rousey in 2011. Her only other career loss came at the hands of Amanda Nunes in her second career fight.

The Brazilian Gomes is a ground specialist with 7 of her 10 wins coming via way of submission, and coincidentally her only 2 losses also came from Nunes and Rousey.

Invicta FC 6 is headlined by a rematch between Marloes Coenen and Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos.
