2025 MM-EH Awards

Every year Canadian fighters have amazing performances inside of cages across the world, and in 2025 MM-EH will recognize the best of the best.

MM-EH has a select cadre of fighters, coaches, promotors, and other personalities who will come together in January 2026 to vote for their favourites of the past year.

MM-EH will award the following categories:

Canadian MMA fighter of the Year in a major world promotion

Canadian MMA Fighter of the Year in a Canadian promotion

Fight of the Year featuring a Canadian in a major world promotion

Fight of the Year in a Canadian promotion

The Ryan Jimmo Memorial* KO of the Year by a Canadian in a major world promotion

KO of the Year in a Canadian promotion

Submission of the Year in a major world promotion

Submission of the Year in a Canadian promotion

* Ryan Jimmo was a mixed martial artist from Saint John, New Brunswick, who tied the record (at the time) for the fastest KO in UFC history in his UFC debut when he knocked out Anthony Perosh in 7 seconds at UFC 149. Jimmo was murdered in 2016.

** The MMA Fight Promotion of the Year may or may not take place.  MM-EH will reach out to the fight promotors themselves and ask them to vote, with the caveat that they must vote for a promotion other than their own!  Will this happen?  Wait and see!
