As MM-eh reported yesterday, British Columian athletes Kultar ‘Black Mamba’ Gill’ and Gary ‘Saint Lion’ Mangat participated in the third installment of the Super Fight League in Delhi on, India yesterday, and each earned a victory.

Indo-Canadian fighters Kultar ‘Black Mamba’ Gill and Gary ‘Saint Lion’ Mangat both won at Super Fight League 3, in Delhi, India today.
MM-eh has been documenting the saga of Kultar Gill’s return from retirement since last fall. We were first to bring news that the K-1 and DREAM veteran was contemplating ending his four-year retirement (Video HERE), and Gill also kept us in the loop — sometimes daily, with his ongoing negotiations with several Asian MMA organizations before he finally agreed to sign with India’s Super Fight League.
Announced as Kultar Singh Gill and “The most decorated Indian fighter in history”, he made a grand entrance to the jammed Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. Although rated for 10,000 people, the stadium was even fuller with an estimated 12,500 fans — many of whom were sitting in the aisles. Gill strode out with a slow and regal pace with a sword in one hand and majestically acknowledged the crowd by raising the other on each side of the walkway.

For the second time recently a pair of Canadians fought each other in the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Two weeks ago Mark Bocek bested John Alessio at UFC 145, and last night at UFC on Fox 3, Winnipeg’s Roland Delorme gritted out a hard-fought come from behind victory over Ottawa’s Nick Denis.
Denis had Delorme in serious trouble in the early goings of the fight, catching him with a series of straight rights that wobbled the Winnipeg Academy of MMA fighter, but the submission savvy fighter kept his composure. Delorme first reached for an armbar, then later used a nifty trip to take down Denis, mount him, and sink in a rear-naked-choke that forced Denis to tap with only one second remaining in the first round.

MM-eh is in Moncton, New Brunswick tonight for Elite 1 ‘Showdown,’ and will be giving fans a live play-by play of the event.
One half of the original main event, Meneka Weva, did not appear at the weigh-ins last night, so ‘Downtown’ Gary Brown, a 1-1 Amateur from Saint John has agreed to make his professional debut against Arsenault. It is now a non-title bout.

MM-eh‘s Jason Philip did his usual bang-up job tonight, getting the photos from the weigh-ins for tomorrow night’s MFC 33 ‘Collision Course,” set for the Mayfield Trade Centre in Edmonton.
Sabah Fadai‘s lightweight opponent Diego Bautista was delayed and could not make it to the weigh-ins on time, but weighed in afterward and made it with no room to spare at 156.0 even.
