MM-eh has learned that Halifax’s Roger ‘The Hulk’ Hollett will be fighting long time veteran Jeremy Horn at Extreme Cage Combat 14, likely to held held on April 28.
Hollett is under contract to the Bellator Fighting Championships and was expected to participate in their Light Heavyweight Tournament opener against Finland’s Marcus Vanttinen on March 9. According to Hollett’s trainer Peter Martell, when the tournament was pushed back until June (video), Bellator agreed to allow him to have another fight under his home team’s banner.
The 13-3 Hollett is riding a five fight win streak, and has solidified his position as one of Canada’s top light heavyweights. His first and only Bellator fight so far was a split decision win over John Hawk at Bellator 57 in November.
Jeremy Horn (89-21) is a true veteran of the sport. With over one hundred fights under his belt, he has fought a who’s who of the best fighters in the world, and has wins over Chuck Liddell, David Loiseau, Forrest Griffin — and even two wins over current UFC Middleweight contender Chael Sonnen.
